Fährhaus Kleinschachwitz in Dresden

Unfortunately, we were only able to visit the restaurant once, between 2 lockdowns. The cuisine is excellent, the atmosphere is dignified and the view from the terrace is wonderful. The beer garden belonging to it is open every day (except of course in lockdown, but the street sales are a little consoling). The Elbradweg always invites you to take a walk and you can count on getting something to eat in the ferry house.

Make the most of the situation. Until recently, had a stand outside where there was drinks / food to go. Unfortunately, I don't remember how it is up to date. Was downstairs for the last time before lockdown.

Nice service. Nice ambience. Delicious meals. The restaurant is particularly recommended in summer because you can look directly onto the Elbe from the terrace. The restaurant also offers a home-brewed beer which is very tasty. The menu is seasonally adjusted so that there is always something new. Families are also in good hands in this restaurant because there is a children's menu to color in.

The ferry house is in a great location, in front of the property is a terrace with a view of the Elbe and the Pillnitz Castle. I think it looks chic inside and there is a large outdoor area with a playground. There is a rather small selection of dishes here and the price is also not cheap, but it was delicious. The service is super nice and I have to mention it briefly, the chocolate cake with a liquid core is awesome. From me 10 points for it. French fries also very tasty. For our child there was a children's menu in A4 format at the table (inside) to color in.

Always happy here. Although I'm from further afield, when I'm around I always come here. Whether beer / cocktail in the beer garden or stylish food in the restaurant - it ALWAYS fits. Super-friendly and humorous staff (e.g. the waitress with the short blonde hair in the restaurant). But they are all smart. Keep it up!!!!!

After a nice, long walk, we stopped for a delicious beer. You sit nicely and have a wonderful view of the Elbe. Gladly again!!!

Very tasty, nice and professional service! There are also vegetarian options, but it is a good idea to do some research beforehand as there is not very much.

The beer garden is in a very good location on the Elbe. We love going there. Summer, autumn and winter.

Absolute recommendation !! There were six of us today to eat delicious burgers and we couldn't stop raving. Great location, delicious food and good service. The only point of criticism (if you can call it that) is that the tip is also debited to the invoice amount via card. Like many others, we are also absolute card payers and never have any change with us and would have liked to have given the friendly waitress one or two euros more. Otherwise keep it up

Directly at Pillnitz Castle. One way by bike costs € 2.50. The ferry goes back and forth every few minutes.

It's a very cozy atmosphere ... the staff is very friendly and the prices are very ?. The citizens look very tasty. But personally haven't tried one. But during the time I was in this beer garden, they were very often ordered by many people.

A great place on the Elbe with a view of the river and Pillnitz Castle. There were four of us and there was no reservation. The friendly staff quickly found us a place on the terrace for us. Friendly service, customer-oriented and the food came quickly. One point deduction, the price for the food, which was pure convenience products, is way too high.

Dresden's most beautiful beer garden for me. Very friendly service, great food, the quality of which justify the price. Super beers and with a view of Pillnitz Castle also a cultural feast for the eyes. Thank you for your hospitality.

The food was tasty and of good quality but a bit expensive. Service was slow since there was only one lady for the whole restaurant. Maybe they did not expected to be that busy on a weekday noon. Recommended if you are not in a rush!

Good food and service

The Bratwurst is excellent here, flavoured with some herbs and crispy bread. They have bavarian tent in the back for rain and winters. I heard from my parents in law that the restaurant is also good but service a bit slow and messy.

Great beer garden

Pretty place at the River Elbe. Around Advent Period you can enjoy the mullet wine and snacks outdoors around the tiny fireplace. I havent dined there bevor but IMHO it should be worth it as well.
